December 15, 2022 — AKVIS introduces a major update of the AliveColors image editor. Version 6.0 offers new Photo Filter and Gradient Map adjustments, new Glowing Edges effect, Deformation Tools, Clipping Mask, compatibility with Linux, and other changes.

AliveColors is a comprehensive graphics editor. The software offers a wide range of image editing tools, adjustments, neural filters, artistic effects, and other necessary features. It is equipped with a library of presets, textures, etc. The image editor contains 10 AKVIS plugins and some other developments of the AKVIS company. AliveColors is a raster-based graphics editor with some vector tools and features.

The latest update of AliveColors includes some long-awaited features that make the program must-have for any photo enthusiasts and designers and allow users to perform photo editing tasks and create stand-out graphics.

Version 6.0 offers the new Photo Filter and Gradient Map adjustments that extend image enhancement and coloring features. The Photo Filter adjustment simulates the effect of colored glass filters on a camera lens and allows users to change the color balance of a photograph. The Gradient Map adjustment, available in two variants - Solid and Noise, allows recoloring images and creating a specific look.

The update also offers the Glowing Edges filter in the Brush Strokes effects. The new stylization effect adds a neon glow to edges in an image, filling the rest of the areas with black, creating stunning art.

The new deformation tools added in version 6.0 allow users to quickly retouch portrait shots, edit facial features, reshape face or body, make caricatures and various striking effects. Now AliveColors includes these Liquify-like tools: Forward Warp, Push, Bloat, Pucker, Twirl, and Reconstruct.

AliveColors 6.0 allows using clipping masks, one of the most advantageous features that helps to show and hide different parts of layers and fit images into shapes, combine texts and graphics, etc.

The software is now fully compatible with Linux operating system. Also, the new version includes many significant improvements affecting the operation of filters, effects, and tools, as well as a massive list of bug fixes.

The image editor is available for download at alivecolors.com. The trial period includes 10 days of fully functional use.

AliveColors runs on Windows 7-11, macOS 10.12-13.0 (M1/Intel), Linux OS.

The program supports a multi-language interface, configurable by switching in the program preferences.

Besides the free version, the program comes in Home ($55) and Business ($160) lifetime licenses, both are fully functional. The update is free for recent buyers. Users with older versions, whose license is not valid for AliveColors 6.0, can update the program for $20.
