AliveColors 9.6 offers many significant improvements! The update introduces professional capabilities for precise and reliable color management and work with color profiles, new Photocopy effect, Save for Web, Fill with Pattern and various enhancements to tools, commands, filters, and dialogs. Color Management Settings
Color profiles are necessary to accurately and predictably transfer color to different output devices: screens, printers, etc. Embedding a profile in an image ensures that colors are displayed as the creator intended.
The new version of AliveColors offers the improved work with color profiles. Select a working profile and adjust color management settings in the Preferences.
New Photocopy Effect
Use the new Photocopy filter to simulate the effect of photocopying an image creating a high-contrast two-color print. The areas in an image will be filled with the background color, while the edges of the areas will be highlighted with paint color. Like other AliveColors effects, Photocopy includes a number of ready-to-use presets. Add a vintage vibe to your photos!
Updated New Image Dialog
The New Image dialog has been reworked. Now it offers more options for creating images and more ease and flexibility. Make your projects in a click!
Save for Web
The new Save for Web dialog (in the File menu) helps you to prepare and save an image for posting on the Internet. You can see the original and optimized images side by side and select the optimal format, quality, and file size.
Many Improvements
- Added the Fill with Pattern option to the Paint Bucket tool.
- Added the Edit -> Fill command for filling a layer or a selection with Color/Pattern/History.
- Added the Load Files into Layers command (in the File -> Automate menu).
- Enhanced the Zoom tool.
- Improved the Fit Text to Path tool.
- For the Crop tool, a forced call to the calculation has been added if the crop frame coincides with the file edges.
- Reworked the Hard Mix blend mode.
- Added a prohibition on deleting a layer using the Delete key if there is an active selection - now the contents of the selection are deleted.
- Added minor improvements to the LUT Editor.
- Added a Hint line at the bottom status bar of the program (on/off in the Preferences).
- Added anti-aliasing (for images and decorations) for image scale from 100% to 200%.
- Added minor interface improvements.
Bug Fixes
The new version also offers the increased stability and bug fixes:
- Fixed an operation error in the Glowing Edges effect;
- an error that caused the program to crash when using the Artistic Brushes while holding down Shift;
- Fixed an error in the Smoothing parameter in the AI-based Image Enlargement filter;
- Fixed an error of preserving proportions when entering a height value in the Image Size filter;
- Fixed an error changing colors in Gradient Fill when entering values from the keyboard;
- Fixed an error loading gradient points from PSD;
- Fixed incorrect loading of some parameters of the layer effects from PSD;
- Fixed an error writing colors to the AKVIS format if profiles mismatch;
- Fixed an accidental deletion of the path outline in Fit Text to Path if the vector shape layer was deleted.
